I would like to draw your attention to the latest MLA activity on Public Policy published in MLA-Focus, February 18, 2010: The National Plan for Action
On February 10, MLA submitted comments to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) supporting the National Plan for Action. Initiated by the Department of Minority Health, DHHS, the plan addresses health disparities in the United States and proposes twenty strategies for their elimination. MLA’s comments addressed the health literacy actions using results from the association’s Health Information Literacy research project.
