Electronic publishing and automated citation tracking have changed the nature of scholarly communication. Bibliometrics, quantitative measures that are used to evaluate the impact of research, are becoming increasingly prominent in the assessment of scholarly contributions. This webinar will cover the key metric indicators, how they are applied (as well as their limitations); the resources used to calculate bibliometrics; and services librarians can provide to support bibliographic analysis.
