Instructor:

Elizabeth Wood, MA, MSLS, AHIP, has taught CE courses since 1988. Courses she has developed and taught include "Information Resources in Clinical Medicine," "The Internet: Access and Resources," "Drug and Pharmaceutical Information Resources," "Introduction to Reference Services in the Health Sciences," and "Introduction to Health Informatics." She has also taught "Using and Understanding Medical Terminology." She has lectured throughout North America, and in Great Britain and China. Her educational offerings are highly rated for their in-depth coverage and comprehensive content, and also for her lively and interesting presentation.

Ms. Wood was Head of Reference at the University of Southern California, Head of Research and Reference Services at Oregon Health Sciences University, and is currently Library Director and Information Scientist in Informatics at City of Hope National Medical Center. She has served extensively on MLA committees, and as teacher, writer, and editor.
