Points Calculator/Spreadsheet

Use the label maker file to set up a filing system to organize your documentation of activities. Use the Excel spreadsheet below to track and calculate your points toward AHIP membership. (Special thanks to Lilian Hoffecker, an MCMLA member, for sharing the Excel calculator she created.)

AHIP FILE FOLDER LABELS:

AHIP CATEGORY LABELS AVERY 5066 File Folder.doc

Simply print these labels and set up files for each category in the AHIP application, then file documentation into the proper file as you receive.  It will all be sorted and ready for copying when you need to prepare your AHIP application.

These don't need to be printed on Avery labels if you don't mind printing them on regular paper, then cutting them out and using double-sided tape or glue to attach them to your file folders.   I use a multi-slot accordian style filing envelope for mine, I think it keeps everything together and nicely filed.  Plus it looks attractive on my bookshelf.

When this opens, it may ask if you want to get data from another file.  Say NO, it should still open ok.

AHIP POINT CALCULATOR SPREADSHEET:

Just a couple pointers --

Documentation refers to the "proof" the Academy requires to back up your claim. You can enter things like "certificate," "letter," or "receipt." You can also enter something like "need to find certificate" as a reminder to obtain the documentation.

There are 20 rows within each category. To insert more rows, insert between the top-most and bottom-most rows in the category. If you insert the new row as the first or last one, the formula for the Sum of points gets confused!

If you enter a character in addition to a numeral in the Points Claimed column (e.g., " 5? "), that row/AHIP activity will not be figured into the subtotals and Grand Total at the bottom of the sheet. It's a good way of recording activities and their point values when you're unsure of whether they will count or be acceptable as real AHIP points.

Finally, anyone can edit/alter to suit their needs.
